Overview
WRK/360 advocates for parents at work. They needed a new website to showcase their services, complete with videos. They later returned with a new page request, which we were able to custom design and develop. We also took it a step further and made it a modular template so they could reuse it on other pages. They came back a second time with a vision for a partnership site featuring advanced landing pages that could be easily duplicated and customized.
Strategy
WRK/360 found themselves with an outdated custom WordPress site in need of a complete front- and back-end overhaul. We decided a fresh start was the way to go, aligning with their branding guidelines and goal of presenting clear, easily understandable information about their mission.
We leaned into the block editor for the main content creation, crafting a custom, accessible WordPress design and theme. Since this site was developed before the block editor was available, we opted for a classic custom theme approach, integrating Advanced Custom Fields for specific page elements like hero sections and calls to action.
We included the option for a video that could be easily updated and an easy way to add downloadable PDF resources to the site. With the site live, WRK/360 seamlessly took over their site’s management and maintenance duties.
Returning for Updates
Post-launch, WRK/360 rolled out a new program which needed its own dedicated landing page. We gave it a design that was fresh but still aligned with the existing site, incorporating new elements like a testimonial slider, highlighted features, and clearly articulated benefits.
We went with a modular approach to this page so if they ever wanted to expand and add more landing pages, or integrate these new features into their existing pages, the process would be easy.
New Partnership Site
Their second request was an entirely separate site that would be simple and streamlined, with pages that were easy to duplicate and switch out branding and content.
Simplicity was key for updating content across each page. It also needed to be easy to hide sections and add block-based content if needed. We kept the layout as fixed as possible so all they would have to do would be to switch out content and links.
We were able to implement an “add to calendar” feature that would automatically generate the calendar invitations based on the information they entered.
Future Updates
Since launching the website, new page, and secondary site, the WordPress site editor has launched and matured. It would be exciting to revisit this site and give it a redevelopment to take advantage of all the new features WordPress has to offer to make it a fully flexible website. We would switch out that Advanced Custom Fields modular approach and create block patterns and custom blocks.
Their current site still has a lot of life left in it, and when they’re ready, a redevelopment will be a great way to extend that life even further.
“Thank you so much for your help!!! Our updated template, our new program site, they’re great. The process and using the sites after are so simple!”
